Summary: I bought a Western Digital My Book 3.0 - 1 TB drive about a year ago because I needed a reliable drive for regular back ups for my MacBook Pro via Time Machine. When I first plugged it in, it was fast, connected easily, and gave me no problems at all. It worked great...
Summary: The USB port in this drive is very cheap. The drive connection would go in and out until it finally fell into the case. I had to take it apart to get to the sata drive inside. I use an adapter I had to access the files. Not very dependable drive. :(
Summary: Bought this setup to backup files in addition to add the USB 3.0 card to my desktop. Never carried it aroud or moved it more than from a location on the desk to another. Then one day I am moving it and the micro USB 3 connection to the board on the hard drive snapped off outta nowhere.
