  • Summary: Performs exactly as advertised. Very easy to update  firmware and remove the WD Smartware. Great value for the price.
  • Pros: Very easy to set up, stylish and very quiet.
  • Cons: a little bulkier than expected and requires an external power supply.

  • Summary: This is a good drive that does what it's supposed to do. The WD Smart Ware is useless except if you want to backup your whole hard drive and it's always crashing when it starts on my Win 64bits system.
  • Pros: Silent., Lots of space.
  • Cons: Backup software that crashes every time it starts.

Great Simple Drive

  • Pros: Great drive, have had these for years. Great Price/GB ratio and fast drive.
  • Cons: Quality of the enclosures of the My Book series has seriously gone down hill. I wish they would go back to the old design. I have 4 My Books and they all work very well. That is why it gets 4 Stars.

  • Summary: Overall, a fine hard drive. No problems with the hardware. The software is a little annoying to update but it dosn't need to be updated as far as I can tell. So far it has not given me any problems and it is easy to upload information to it without having to use the built in software. I would recommend this for a first time buyer.

  • Summary: So far the product works fine but it is also brand new. Perhaps Walmart will ask for my review again in 12 months.

  • Summary: The product meets all my expecations. The only problem is in the installation. There is not any instalation instructions and there is notan operators manual. You can print a manual after the devise is up and running. It automatically backs up my computer.
