Summary: I bought this unit to use as extra storage for my Xbox One and I've used it almost every day for about five months now. It works flawlessly with no noticable difference compared the the Xbox One's internal hard drive.
Summary: I am using this as memory expansion for my Xbox One. There is nothing negative to say about it - it is a great little performer. It seems like game installations don't take as long as they do when installed to the Xbox One's internal hard drive. This hard drive is also completely silent.
Excerpt: First thing I ran a disk utility(for 14hrs) to test reliability and it had no issues. Recently I cloned my operating system to it and then used it as a startup drive for 10hrs while I made some repairs to the original start up drive.
Summary: Nice quality drive. Very quick. The bottom of the drive is plastic though, too bad the whole thing wasn't metal. Does scratch fairly easily, but not nearly as easily as my old WD plastic one. It fits good in a WD case, that should have been included (but wasn't).
Summary: I have a Mac and this works as a charm, it's not thin like Apple Products which is okay I'm just glad it works. Be sure to register it on the WD website. Oh and for Mac users you will need to reformat, it's not the hard. This is great for Time Machine.
Excerpt: Plugged it in and the Mac software performed a backup of all my files immediately. Used primarily for photo backup, but all files other than system were copied. I did not use the security setup that is described with the drive.
