Excerpt: It's the almost the same size as a passport and hence the name. Very good for the consumer who needs a lot of portable memory on the go and is willing to pay the somewhat demanding price. It's built very well and the rubber feet will stop any vibrations on any surface. The drive is also incredibly silent and can only be heard if you put your ear right next to it while writing a lot of information.
Excerpt: I thought it could not have been my system as i had since upgraded my laptop for a newer model. Therefore i was very annoyed and sceptical to use them again. I took it back to the store once again and luckily they agreed to give me a different brand……(a 500GB harddrive for 25€ cheaper) therefore i hope this one is better now. But i would recommend staying away from the WD raneg as there clearly seems to be a problem with them.
Summary: In the manual this product is compatible for Mac (whatever the version they said), but Mac with USB 1.0 does not work with this product. I found some same review from other website. B&H was nice to refund it. Maybe sometimes work, but I guess this company should mention this clearly so that simply we could purchase other one from them.
Summary: It is difficult to find Mac-compatible external HDs at a low price. When I found this one, I thought: great! But, then when I received the product, it simply does not work with my PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4... I found in the internet that this model of PowerBooks apparently does not supply sufficient power to the HD, so I might get around this problem with a Y-USB cable. Now I have to order this cable and wait some more weeks to try to get this HD to work again.
