Summary: The amount of free space is not 750g.. its roughly about 700g due to all of the software already in the hard drive. I have read numerous negative reviews of this product pertaining to the lousy usb cables but i had no problems with it at all. The transfer rate is not blazing fast, but decent. I am satisfied with the product due to the portable size, the easy plug and play features, and it was problem free for me.
Summary: Been using this hard drive for a few weeks now and I'm really pleased with it. It's VERY small, quiet and does everything I want it to. The back up software works easily and has backed up everything I want it to with ease. It keeps all my back ups up to date too using the continuous back up functionality. No need for a power cable either like my old Iomega hard drive - but then again, I did buy that when God as a boy. The price is very good too. Don't hesitate - get one!
Summary: The western digital external hard drive is a fantastically priced product and works extremely well it's small and compact well worth the money thankyou amazon for bring such an amazing product.
Summary: I bought this to back up my ever increasing photo collection and also as a portable method of moving those photos to other computers. It looks very nice and the size of it is perfect to store away or put in a laptop case or even in a bag. This ease of transport means when I go abroad I have access to both my computers hard drives remotely without the need to put files on USBs etc. It handles very well, makes almost no noise in all the times I have used it so far.
Summary: I had an older version of the WD passport, I was really pleased with that so I decided to go for this newer version. It may not be the fastest (with USB 2.0) - it took about 3 hours to copy 300GB of data, but it is quiet, well built and very compact. It's even shorter in length that the older version, though it is a bit thicker. Best of al it needs no external power supply, what more could you ask for?
