Summary: I have and older WD passport that I have use for quite a few years. I had good luck with mine, so this one was a Christmas gift to someone else. Beings I never used this since it was a gift, I gave it 4 stars.
Summary: I had purchased a My Passport Elite previously due to MaximumPC's Best of the Best recommendations for the 320GB version. I liked the drive and the software. With a new laptop and needing more space to save work related files to along with backing up pics from it, I wanted a new drive.
Summary: Works well thus far and I've had it for several months now. no complaints. It's small and quiet. PLENTY of space for my photos, videos, and documents. Easily portable. and nice to look at when it's on your desk. a very good buy!
Summary: This product works fine, that's not the problem. I've been using this portable hard drive for over a year. During that time, I believed its outer shell was constructed out of titanium. Today, I find out that isn't the case.
Summary: Good external drive, but the connection of the dock is a bit fragile and I prefer an USB MASS STORAGE interface than de SES DRIVER which comes with this drive. The hard disk inside is a WD Caviar Blue.
Summary: I bought it almost a month ago its not bad at all this is my second external drive from WD I think for uploading movies, pictures, and audio files,...etc goes the job pretty well so far no problem I recommend WD external drives.
Summary: Who knew you could fit 500 GB into such a tiny container? I love the color (red) - it matches the NY that I also bought. What I didn't like was the continuous backup that occurs with the included software.
