Summary: I actually took down and old server with an enclosure the size of a refrigerator and replaced it with three of these. They work beautifully over the network, you can set up all the same permissions and security, you can set up a cloud to share with other offices what you want and your completely safe in mirror mode.
Summary: I've only had the WD My Book Live Duo for a week, but so far, so good. Easy install, all devices on my network (so far) can see it, set up was a breeze (if a bit slow), streaming multiple jobs from and to the drive seems just like a regular drive in the computer. Very happy so far. Next task is to set up a personal cloud. I expext that to go well, but we shall see...
Summary: Never once has it gone offline. I'm able to access it without any issue and the USB connection in the back has worked without a problem to add a second another drive to it. I'm thrilled with it but I have not tried to use it as a cloud drive yet.
Summary: ordered it at 6am thursday and was here by noon friday. the service was great and everything worked as expected woul definately do this again if needed and was $100 cheaper than any local product.
Summary: I have an old Dell desktop that I have been storing years of digital pictures on. The hard drive was about full. The WD my Book live was perfect for what I wanted. It also gives me the ability to acess pictures and saved documents from any computer, I have my personel cloud. I am very satisfied.
Summary: Pros: 3 or 6TB depending on how important you think your files are for backup Easy install as long as you can follow basic directions, however there was one instruction in the manual that was missing a step. I had to search for the answer online. The instructions failed to mention that you had to click on the drive first which enables the option I wanted to become selectable.
