Summary: The package arrived in a very timely manner. That was great. The box holding the drive looked like it had been opened before. The cable supplied was usb to ?, not a usb to mini usb as required to plug into the drive. Luckily I had a cable at home that worked and was up in running within 15 minutes.
Summary: This works great for our photos of our trips to the western states, we have over 1000 photos and with the Storejet Cloud we do not have to use storage on our phone or tablets. We use the Storejet. Works great.
Summary: I purchased this WiFi external hard drive to be used with iPad. Now New iPad uses higher resolution and hence you can have up to 760 X 570 kind of resolution on your mp4 or m4v video files, when converting a movie from the DVD format. This will increase the file size to more than 2GB.
Summary: I have not used this drive heavily so I can not reach a conclusion about it. So far, I tried to watch about 5 AVI encoded movies and they all stop after several minutes and there's no way to fast forward or go back after you start playing. I can only hope there's a firmware fix on the way.
Summary: The App for this thing is clunky and slow, but it also has http access, so all's well. I give it five stars because it's cheaper than Kingston's, and I don't like Kingston because they seem to always compromise something to hit a price point.
Summary: Yes, the Cloud FTP router is an alternative, but that router alone costs $100. If the Transcend unit doesn't work for you, try the Kingston Wi-Drive. Yes, the 64 GB Kingston unit costs more, but it's still cheaper than the Transcend Storejet + the Cloud router!
