Excerpt: This drive performs well as a backup for my movies and music, attached to my media player. It receives sufficient power over USB 2.0 to spin the drive, using the single USB cable (two plugs aren't necessary). Has a quality feel to it and feels rugged (haven't dropped it yet).
Summary: Its OK for what I need it to do. I tried using the backup software and it ran all night - nothing......but for a simple transfer of files so that it mirrors my laptop it is perfect. Plus its purple - my favorite color.....
Summary: I've been using this for just over a month. It works as promised. I like the design, the colour, the actual size; it's so compact. Most of the time it's just plugged directly into the USB port on my HDTV so I can watch videos or listen to music.I've also backed up my laptop on it.
Excerpt: PROS: Works right out of the box, a set-and-forget type of device. It's firmware reminds you to use the faster USB 3.0 connection.
The rugged casing looks steady enought to protect the drive in short falls but I wouldn't test it.
Summary: When looking for an external hard drive, Transcend was the one I new I needed to get. Unfortunately, the other reviews for this device seemed to not be very good. I for one have not noticed any problem what so ever with this device. If there is a problem later, I hope to write an update.
Summary: There are really only 2 things that are a bit of a downside. First off there is no information on how to use the features this comes with. I had to look it up online and still don't use the software. I just copy and paste my files to back them up.
Summary: USB connected immediately and after Kaspersky checked for any issues, the downloading was speedy. All of my pictures and files are safe. It's a bit smaller than I anticipated, but that's absolutely fine and it can sit out on my desk all the time. Color is fantastic.
