Excerpt: This drive performs well as a backup for my movies and music, attached to my media player. It receives sufficient power over USB 2.0 to spin the drive, using the single USB cable (two plugs aren't necessary). Has a quality feel to it and feels rugged (haven't dropped it yet). I haven't used the software.
Summary: It certainly isn't cheap but it's a small, compact unit that transfers over USB 3 as quickly as anything else. I typically ingest 30k to 60k photos a weekend to this device and it's working great. Hopefully, I don't have to test it's anti-shock properties!
Summary: It is portable, rugged and of adequately high capacity which were the must haves for me. It would have been good to have more storage space and faster transfer rates. I work with a lot of data and need a lot of portable storage and this is my third drive from the 25H3P series. They have served me well, much better than WD/Seagate and others in terms of reliability and durability.
May need to change the file system for folders larger than 4G

Summary: I just got the hard drive to back up another one that not has something loose in it and I don't want to lose all my training files and videos. Transfers all went well except that the File System that this hard drive is formatted with a file system called FAT32 which won't support uploading files larger than 4G and I had several of these. This is easily fixed though. You simply need to change the File System to 'NTFS' This can be done one of two ways. 1.
