Summary: Seems to work well, dose what it says on the tin i guess, works well with my desktop PC but needs extra power when connected to my netbook, so I have ordered they "Y" cable for extra power hopefully that will resolve the problem.
Summary: Great drive, does the job, nothing more or less. Alot of people moaning about it not working with older usb slots and wires... it states clearly it's a usb 3.0 backwards compatible with 99% of 2.0 slots.
nice rubber coating to protect it. But remember not to store with cable in socket

Summary: nice rubber coating to help protect it (nice purple colour so I don't lose it if plain black). I previously had a Seagate portable hard drive, but it stopped working as stored it lapbag with cable in and socket became loose. Maplins would not deal with it as after a year (just) so had to order a new one and decided since maplins were unhelpful, they don't get my business. Instead I ordered it from this bunch and arrived within a few days, great....
Summary: If your transcend is for Mac use then change the format to ExFAT which can be done using the Disk Utility.app. If you have a Windows system, change the format to NTFS. This information should be more clearly marked on the packaging so users know instantly what they have to do before using the transcend for the first time.
Summary: I've only hooked this up to my computer once so far but it seems to have done the job, it has stored my files on there which is good. I like the memory size of it, I like the size of the Hard drive itself and most importantly to me, I like the colour.
Summary: Nice litte rugged USB3 harddisk. The ONLY problem is that it requires a 2xUSB connection to your laptop/computer. All good, unless you have a new MacBookPro Retina which features only 2xUSB ports, each one on opposite ends of the keyboard. The USB cable that comes supplied with the device isn't long enough to have both USBs connected into the MacBook Retina, without the use of a (separate) USB extension cable.
Summary: Würde die Festplatte wieder kaufen.
