Summary: Well... I like this drive. A lot. It's very portable and looks cool (being a graphic designer, overall looks count a lot to me). Plus it comes with a handy leather-booklet-like pouch. Although I expected it to perform a lot faster, I'm not entirely displeased by this drive.
Pros: Sleek, cool-looking, enclosure; compact-sized; rubberized bottom coating provides some shock absorption and prevents it from sliding/slipping; leather pouch is a nice touch; moderately (leaning towards the low end) priced.
Cons: Rather slow. Even for a 5400RPM drive. Reflective finish is a fingerprint magnet.
Summary: These drives come with a strange format, it lists itself as fat32 but some utilities show it as RAW and wont touch it. Formatting them fixes that. With all of the rootkits that are being found on new USB drives it just make sense to format every new drive before using it.
Summary: Formated Quick NTFS when it arrived, i never used the softare ... no problem at all ... runs like in the day one
Pros: Small, military anti drop system, i use this as a every day portable backup and software beeing a computer technician. I have'it from more tahn 3 months used almoust every day ... no problem at all. Solid looking and working fast. Totally recomend to everyone.
Pros: I am kind of person you would least trust in your beautiful card and that's because I'm hard on my stuff and have been on this drive too. Drive is fast, plug and play and extremely resistant to clumsiness such as dropping, moving while transfering data, chucking stuff on it while transfering data...
Cons: The 320GB is about 50$ more when you consider that it doesn't come with free shipping, and that it because of the price increase there is a tax increase. What does your wallet and GB heart tell ya?
Pros: Great drive for the money. small, compact. great for use with my Eee PC to store all of my music and videos.
Cons: I have had only one issue and that is transferring files over about 1.5 gigs. it says that there is not enough room on the drive for it when there is over 100 gigs free. a possible fix is to format it in somthing other than fat32. i have not tried it yet.
Pros: Extremely portable plus mil-spec shock resitent.
Cons: Slower than my eSata external AC powered portable HD, but then again. However, it is much more portable than my AC powered, eSata HD and the transcend hasn't died yet, unlike my other portable HD.
