Summary: I purchased this drive to back up photos from my new MacBook Pro. It is in the process of receiving 1TB of data from another USB 3.0 connected external drive. I am using only one cable for each drive and the devices are working fine. Transfer rate is about 77 MB per second or 20 GB in 4 min19 sec. I am writing in the Mac OS X extended format. Based on previous experience with Transcend, I expect this drive to be sturdy and reliable.
Summary: Nice looking drive. Haven't tested the drop standards. Seems fast and USB 3 is great. I have a number of other portable drives and this is my favorite because of the on/off switch and soft cover. It is not the smallest drive (about a third heaver than my Seagate portable) but, to me, that is no problem. I tend to use it attached to a USB 3 powered dock.
It super easy to use right away- just plugged it in

Summary: Product was shipped over seas, and arrived earlier then expected. It properly packaged as well. I don't plan on testing the amount of shock this thing can withstand- but I have the piece of mind if a drop should occur. It super easy to use right away- just plugged it in, software was recognized- and within a few seconds, I was storing data. I was happy with the price- considering a 1TB- non shock proof was nearly $15 more than this product- too easy.
Summary: Outstanding! It's small for an external hard drive, but oh so fast. You've just gotta love usb 3. It draws power directly from the usb port, so no power cable. The only down side is that it doesn't come with a case, but Amazon recommends a nice one to go with it. It's supposed to be military grade and all that, but I haven't dropped it yet and don't ever plan to; overall, a good bargain.
Summary: Great purchase! Lightweight, fast file transfers, the rubber case helps avoid slipping from your hand and gives you the sense of being very resistant to drops. One thing to notice: It come pre-formatted with FAT32 file system, so if you want to transfer files bigger than 4GB is better to format it to NTFS before using it, just remember to backup the included Transcend utilities.
Summary: This is a nice and fast little drive and it holds so much that I use it to back up all my data from all my computers and carry it with me in my laptop bag. I'm a hardcore, fully virtualized power user and this little drive let's me carry my entire library of virtual machine templates with me wherever I go. I don't know how I got along without it. Does it live up to it's claim of military drop standards? I couldn't say and I don't want to test it on purpose.
Summary: These hard drives are the best I've used so far. They're super affordable and made with high quality. This one has very fast transfer speeds and you don't have to worry about dropping this thing, it's heavy duty.
