Summary: Bottom line is I see all of my files but I can't access them. There is no documentation telling me how to use any of the features. I try to go to the Toshiba site for support, but when I enter my SN, I am told that because my device is made in China, I can't get support.
Finally I gave up and am returning it after having lost a lot of time and client patience.

Summary: It is probably the luck of the draw, but dealing with the USB was a miserable experience. I backed it up three times, and each time I got messages from Windows that they can't read the data and I needed to reformat it.

Summary: This drive can be great, for years and years, if (and only if) it's stationary. If you need it to be “portable” like the name implies, you'll soon discover it's anything but. Treat it with more care than you do fresh eggs.
