  • Pros: Love Sony products. this one does what i wanted and quickly and with little noise. Sure at the speed you hear some whipping of the air inside, but nothing else - Great Drive for a PC to load OS and other software.

User Review

  • Summary: Not a Blu Ray player. So if you need Blu Ray you will need a different drive.
  • Pros: Extremely low price. Works fine for what it is.
  • Cons: None so far. Not Blu Ray compatible but I didn't need Blu Ray so I knew what I was getting.

It does what it do

Paul S., Newegg
3 January 2013
  • Summary: Be sure to notice that this is the bare drive, so it does not come with SATA cables for power and data. This would be a good replacement drive, or if you're building a computer, but be sure that your power supply or motherboard comes with the necessary SATA cables like mine did.
  • Pros: - Reads CDs

Anna L., Newegg

  • Summary: Just like Bryant said. If you don't know what OEM means, don't buy it. It only comes with the actually CD-ROM.
  • Pros: Does was it's designed to do.
  • Cons: May get a little loud, but I don't use it enough to take an egg off for that reason.
