Buyer beware if plan to use w iOS8 devices

Summary: Doesn't play iTunes content on iOS8 devices. From the time I purchased (July 2014) until iOS8 was released, this device was great. Load a ton of content (iTunes movies, TV shows, music, home movies, photos, etc.) and multiple family members could access it all through Media app (great for long trips). After iOS8 (Oct) though, no iTunes content will play, which makes it pretty useless for me except as an expensive paperweight.
Excerpt: I hate! The connection failed at all times I used. After the connection fails, the device is not recognized, so do not reestablish the connection until you restart the iphone, computer or tablet. It does not have an efficient system to turn off. Even if you do not want to use the device remains active wasting the battery (would last 10 hours...).
Cons: Difficult To Use, Inefficient, Unreliable, Unstable
Summary: I purchased this product because I thought it would be great to use on trips to store more movies than my 16 GB iPad. Documentation is very cryptic to use from a Mac Mini. At first it worked OK from the iPad but when it would not play from the Mac Mini I contacted Seagate support. The had me reformat the drive and install updated firmware. Now it plays on the MAC mini but the video jitters when played with Quicktime.
Summary: What a waste of my time purchasing this for my wife's Ipad. After several hours messing with firmware and creating a unsecure wifi network, so it could gain access the internet, it still will not connect to my secured wifi network, regardless of firmware. Also, no thumbnails for photos, a major flaw on it's own. This is just typical for Apple-ish devices, such a simple task, the likes of a NAS device, requires the user to jump through hoops.
Summary: I really wanted to like this. It holds tons of data! However, after streaming over wifi for five minutes it simply freezes... with only a single viewer. I've updated the firmware and still no good. Support says it is the file, but the file plays fine when downloaded to the Android device memory. Pass if you want to use it to stream video. EDIT - Down to 1 star - would have done 0 if I could I bought a new tablet and everything was fine for a day or two.
Summary: I bought this device to use with my iPad. I am generally NOT an Apple fan! but this iPad Air is awesome.... Anyway... When I received this item, I plugged it in and it instantly worked... Perfectly Ok, I spent 20 hours or so loading my media to it. I incurred several problems when most of my memory on the iPad was nearly full, which I can't exactly document precisely, but cost some data loss.
Summary: purchased in december, failed in march after being used perhaps 5 times as a backup drive. 3 other drives i have been in use for 1-2 years each. i bought this because of the wireless capability, but i'm going back to wired.
Summary: I was trying to find a replacement for my AirStash. It simple to get my Mac to recognize the drive, but I could never find the file to allow it to copy from my itunes library. I spent 3 days on hold at about a 45 min. average. I will never again buy a Seagate product.
Summary: I am trying to consolidate my video and music collection. On some items the cover art will only stay after a second or third try. Needs to improve on the software. The included written material is absolutely useless. To find out something you have to use constantly the internet.
Summary: I have used Seagate Products for years, and fell in love with the brand. I saw the wireless plus, and figured this will work great for our needs and was terribly dissapointed. First, by the quick directions quick set up was a mess. It says go to seagatewireless.com for further instructions. THE SITE DOES NOT EXIST. Then we got on the phone with customer service. As they stated, this is self explanatory.
