5 stars for the device, 2 stars for (other) app developer limitations

Summary: I was really excited about getting this device and having a nice way to carry a fair amount of entertainment (movies, music, etc.) along with me, but unfortunately -- at least in the Android world -- limitations built-in to the apps that I'd most like to use this device for really negate the grand plans that I had for this device. Let me be clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with this great little device.
Summary: I'm using this storage device as a back up hard drive. It works great. Its fast. I can save files to this drive about 3 times faster than my internal hard drive. The only quibble I have is that I can't access the drive by double clicking it. When I do I get an Access denied message. I have to right click and choose open from the menu. The drive comes with a bunch of file folders installed some of which contain music and video samples. This isn't a big deal.
Allows me to take my DVD collection with me when I travel

Summary: There are many reviews here from more sophisticated users than I. My needs are simple and Seagate Wireless Plus has met them perfectly. My primary objective was to find a way to take a large part of my DVD collection with me when I need to travel frequently to locations without cable TV. With 1TB of memory, the Seagate Wireless Plus has allowed me to load up hundreds of movies and episodes of TV shows.
Summary: I wanted to quickly highlight the general aspects of this product then discuss the kids experience I had with this product as a dad with 6yr old twins. Overall unit impressions: -Great form factor -Built-in battery -1TB is perfect storage for a bunch of movies and photos -iPad and iPhones work with this unit Now, I want to highlight how my family uses this product to make our multi-hour road trips easier.
Summary: Pros: Cool concept for travelers. With a sleek, minimalistic look, it's perfect for folks who want their entire movie or picture library available wherever they go, but don't have the internal storage space available on their playback device. This drive lets you have that mobility easily and conveniently. The power button is on the side of the drive and is easy to access and push, and is slightly recessed so that it isn't bumped on or off by accident.
Summary: I'm rounding this up to 5 stars, but really, it's a 4.5 star product (more on that later). First, physically, this device is a little bigger than the Seagate Backup Plus 2.5" devices, since this comes with a built in wifi chip, and - importantly - the battery. For this review, I'm using an iPhone 5 and iPad 4. Both connected to the Seagate Wireless Plus just perfectly, and all my iTunes music and movies played fine through the Seagate app.
Summary: The advertisement is very misleading. This device does not work wirelessly with computers or Surface tablet. The leaftlet inside the package shows that it only works with ipad/ iphone (via applestore).
Summary: generally, it is a great drive, as it has great quality, great transfer speed and nearly great free app. For those who are using iPad, iPod or iPhone and need a 3rd party app to stream videos, I strongly recommend a new app known as "nplayer". It has the function of SMB streaming. The speed and the quality are good, and it says it is licensed by Dolby. It works very well.
Summary: There is nothing but fairly good reviews all over the place but for me its interface falls short by a long shot. Connecting to the device is easy to setup. It looks good, soft touch plastic on the bottom makes it feel good also. What I found was the Seagate Media ios App was a little too beta testing app for my liking.
