Fast + Stable = Awesome External Drive

Excerpt: As a full-time wedding photographer I need LOTS of storage space. I also need it to be fast and most importantly stable. I purchased this drive in the middle of wedding season when I noticed my current drive was already near capacity! I had to transfer over all of 2014 to this new drive so that I could have a dedicated drive for this year only. It worked like a dream. I will definitely purchase another one for 2015.
Pros: Attractive Design, Compact, Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, Portable, Quiet
Excerpt: This is the 4th one I've bought, and they all work fine so far. Buying the same model allows me to use the same power adapter for each one, minimizing the number of plugs that need to be used. Each one worked from the start, just plug in and use. Only drawback is that the model doesn't have a power on and off button; but for the low price it's a small thing.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, High Capacity, Portable, Quiet
Summary: This is a very large drive and fairly inexpensive. Assuming it lasts it will be a great investment, however the warranty concerns me There used to be a time when seagate was the best hard drive on the market( I have 2 in my computer). In the last couple of years their quality has fluctuated. They have gone from a 5 year warranty on hard drives to a 1 year warranty while the other major manufacturers are still including a 2-4 year warranty on external drives.
Pros: This drive has a nice large capacity. Usb 3.0 makes transfer speeds fast and efficient. Relatively small footprint makes it easy to find place to put it. Windows recognized it without issue and set it up very quickly.
Cons: Somewhat noisy under high loads. Case becomes fairly warm under heavy use. Only cooling vents are on the bottom and back. Vents on the top would allow the drive to cool better since heat travels up. The foot print could be smaller, or even turned 90 degrees on its edge. Very short 1 year warranty.
Excerpt: Works great out of the box, no need to do anything other than make the connections, but do allow a few seconds for the blue LED light to come on and show it is ready. The Seagate tech people are also great, they are knowledgeable, courteous, and listen well so they can help you resolve a problem. The problem was me not the hard drive so this is a pro for Seagate.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, High Capacity, Portable, Quiet
Summary: I wonder why they didn't just use a 5 tb hdd inside the drive...I think its so no one would take them apart and put them inside their pc internally which may void some sort of warranty
Pros: the packaging on this drive looked nice but is not the best I've seen. the box is thin and flimsy. the inner packaging is more sturdier but in total the packaging will suffice cause it will be thrown away anyway. the drive itself is a standard black box with with the Seagate logo and a blue light its not ugly but not the prettiest either like I said standard. the drive is a massive 5 tbs and the speeds where decent I got a 189 mbps for smaller files and 109 on large o...
Cons: now on to the bad news this drive is for external use only. I took mine out and hooked it in to my pc and it slowed my system to a crawl...so I formatted it and it sped it up but I lost 2.6 terabytes ...the drive is internally partitioned most like the 2 partitions are raid internally and when I formatted the drive it deleted the raid driver and left only one side usuable which is about 2 tb ...I looked on seagates sight for the raid driver or some sort of reinstall p...
