Excerpt: Out of the box and on to the desktop, power up and plug in to my late 2012 27" iMac and it works. Silent, compact (single drive enclosure), and USB 3.0 made it plug and play. Flat black surface finish leaves not fingerprints and makes it disappear in the shadow of my two screens.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, High Capacity, Quiet
Excerpt: This is the second one I bought - one for my media center many months ago, and now one as a backup drive for my Mac. Formatted it when I got it. Simple.Fast (both are plugged into USB 3.0 ports), reliable, quiet, high capacity (5Tb!!!), and cheap ($[$]shipped!)! What more can I ask for?!
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up, Great Value, High Capacity, Quiet
Excerpt: I needed a 4+ Terabyte to back up a 2T internal hard drive and another 2T external drive (also a Seagate). This 5T Seagate is perfect, and the price was unbelievable. I use the 2T external drive constantly, & I'm very impressed with the quality & reliability of Seagate.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, High Capacity, Portable, Quiet
Excerpt: I have a large amount of movies and was in need of a larger INTERNAL drive, but for someone reason unknown to me, internal drives are always more expensive then external HDD. Watched a few videos and found out that the HDD can be removed from the enclosure and used as an internal drive quite easily.
