Summary: It's pretty quick for a 5400RPM drive. You can actually remove the USB-SATA adapter from the drive and use it to connect to other drives or if you can plug it in to your computer's (e)sata interface. It's quiet, doesn't get too hot. Overall decent product, this is the second one I'm buying.
Pros: Quick and small, removable interface.
Cons: Plastic casing, seems tricky to disassemble.
Summary: After my time capsule crashed, I was very concerned. The seagate gives me confidence I will always have all my data. The staff at ABT took amazing care of me and made a very stressful experience much better and did it in a way that did not kill my budget and made me feel extremely valued
Pros: Attractive Design, Compact, Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, High Capacity, Portable, Quiet
Summary: For use as a backup drive, I upgraded from a WD Elements SE 500 GB drive to this one. This one is somewhat faster - it benchmarks at 83.3 MB/s average read, 66.1 MB/s average write. The WD benchmarked at 69.5 MB/s read, 73.1 MB/s average write. Latency was 16.93 ms for this Seagate vs. 17.91 ms for the WD. It's quite quiet, although there's definitely a low clicking on write.
Pros: Fast, USM (which allows access to raw SATA ports)
Cons: Drive access light could be more informative
Summary: This was by far the easiest backup I have done. Simply put cord in the storage device and plug it into your computer port and click to begin the backup. I am continually moving either my own laptop or the church's laptop back and forth from home to church and the unit itself is a sleek, slim design and fits easily into my purse or even a pocket for ease of mobility. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Summary: This is a great product to store all of your photos in one spot. Plus you can take it with you when you want to share them with others or get reprints. This one was bought for a gift but I also own the same product. Also great for high school and college students needing to store information.
Summary: I got mine about a month ago from Walmart online, it was a gift. I absolutely LOVE it! I love the privacy aspect of it because backing up your files online to a third party is a bad idea!! I love that it has 1 terabyte of space because I have a lot of data and programs. All you have to do is plug it into your USB port, then click on libraries or computer and you will see it listed. Great deal for a great product at a great price!
