Summary: I got this because of my great experience with the Samsung S2 500gb, but couldn't find a 1TB version. Case The case is plastic, and bulges out on top where the nice pattern is. The top patterned piece of plastic bends when pressure is applied. Definitely won't be traveling heavily with this. The S2 had a really solid, beautiful case that I abused on my travels and still holds up after 2 years.
Summary: First received a faulty model, not one you could immediately tell: It was working fine, but as it was going to be one of my offline backup drive, I though I would run some test before putting all my data on it. First test using the provided Samsung software, could not run, giving a message to report it back to the re-seller. As usual, Amazon is very good with the return policy and shipped another one immediately which I received briefly after.
Summary: I bought this to connect to my home network and allow me to backup both a Mountain Lion Mac and a Windows 7 PC. Although this drive is advertised as working with both operating systems I was a little disappointed to find that the drive only comes with the Windows compatible software installed. Even worse, when I followed the official links to download the Mac software I found it relied on a piece of software made by google that was no longer available.
