Summary: I am on my second replacement drive and give up; it's not worth trying for a third warranty replacement. I don't know if it just doesn't like Macs or if it just doesn't work, but it often refuses to mount, and DiskUtility warns me that it's not repairable and to back up all my files.
Summary: Worse external I have ever owned. 1st one died within the year I bought it, replaced it under warranty and the 2nd one did not even last another year. Waste of money and I'll never purchase a Seagate for as long as I live.
Summary: Sadly, I have to give this hard drive a one start. I think i received a defective unit, normally seagate hard drives are fairly good. This unit always had the problem of not waking up when the computer did, requiring to physically unplug and re-plug the drive.

Summary: Purchased this 2 years ago to back up stuff on my Macbook Pro. I am a just a regular user who opens time machine every 6 months or so, not pushing hard on go flex. However, it started showing corrupt files, and then even stopped reading my entire data.
Summary: This thing worked for about a year and a half, then one day it just went dead. It shows up in "my computer" but has no letter next to it, the diagnostic program that comes with it just says "please connect your device to continue". When I click on it to open it in the my computer it's BLANK!!!
