Summary: I was looking for a lower-priced and more flexible alternative to Apple's Time Machine hardware, and this is it. With Ethernet wire to my router and very simple sofware installation it is now backing up my Mac Mini and MacBook via Time Machine, and also my wife's Windows computer.
Summary: I use this to backup my home PC, lots of pics and movies. I have not used the remote access much, but the app on android works well and I was able to load and view files remotely. I did lots of research and started with the WD cloud product, but retruned it after the remote piece would not work. I consider my self above average with technology, but this was easy/ intuitive at most skill levels.
Summary: This product solved my need for a home repository of music and video to share between my family in a easy way. Support Apple protocol and LG protocol, so i can watch al my móvies directly from The TV and all Mobile devices. Easy to setup and use.
Summary: The drive arrived on time, and in good shape (I did learn that Fedex Post is actually USPS). Installed software as instructed and let the Home drive start backing up my computer. You should know that this is an extremely slow process (the instruction advise this). It took about 4 days to do the initial backup. Since then, it backs up any changes I make transparently and wirelessly.
Summary: This is a great USB Hard drive. It is amazingly fast and the installation is a breeze. My Windows system recognized it immediately and I was able to use it in seconds. The shipment was on time and price is pretty good. I would definately recomend this drive to anyone looking for storage.
Summary: Setup through my PC was simple and quick. Then connected my Mac and iTouch. No problem. Picked up on my BD Player so I can stream movies and music. As long as it keeps working like it is I am happy.
Summary: Very easy to set up with a wired connection to my router. The drive was recognized in about 90 seconds and setup with the CD that came in the package was simple...just follow the prompts. Seems fairly slow pulling up large photo files over the network, but that may be due more to my wireless speed than the drive itself
