Features

The Seagate GoFlex Desk external drive provides users with storage capacity for files and data and can be upgraded to any interface desired. The desktop hard drive can be paired with a GoFlex USB 3.0 or FireWire® 800/USB 2.0 adapter to increase performance by up to 10 times, and works interchangeably between a PC or a Mac® computer. The unit supports automatic continuous backup of data, and secures backed up files and protects privacy with encryption software. The unit also features Seagate® Dashboard management tool for management of backup schedules and file encryption, and viewing drive statistics; GoFlex Desk USB 2.0 desktop adapter with illuminated capacity gauge and provides vertical or horizontal orientation to fit in any desktop environment. The external hard drive is compatible with a system with Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, Windows® XP (32-bit & 64-bit) operating system or Mac® OS X operating system 10.4.9 or higher and USB 2.0 port. The GoFlex Desk drive comes with a GoFlex USB 2.0 adapter, options to purchase a "drive only" version that comes without the GoFlex USB 2.0 adapter, comes pre-loaded backup software with encryption, a 5-foot (150 cm) USB 2.0 cable and a Quick Start Guide.
