Save yourself the headache

Summary: Stay away from this brand. I've owned a Seagate product from 2008 and it has been working fine so I decided to get this second one. In less than 2 years, it developed clicking noises and stopped working.
Summary: I was real dissapointed to discover this drive is not compatible with Windows 8. Installed seamlessly onto my laptop that runs Vista and my other desktop running XP. Be careful the product description does not state the restriction (that I could find).
Summary: I purchased this in june 2011 and have tried a number of times to install it... 1st couple times was with windows 7. I got it to install but I would have to go hunting for the 'dashboard' after the first few times I used it.
Summary: I've really liked this external drive. It's easy to use and has huge storage. I manually back up my system, but I'm probably going to order another to do a ghost image of my whole hard drive. So far, no complaints!
