Summary: Hitachi 2TB just arrived to mate with my second Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Thunderbolt Adapter purchased at the same time. The drive mounts up as a "Hitachi" and not HGST, which gives me warm fuzzy confidence that it's not some cheap knock off. The drive is brand new and not used. The shipping from Oceanside Marketplace was just fine, housed in foam with double box and airbag stuffing.
Summary: This is absolutely amazing. I put all my movies and TV shows on here connected to an Imac and off I went. Combining the power of the Plex app it's the ultimate home theater companion. It's incredibly fast and has no delay whatsoever.
Summary: A really handy device, especially when paired with a SSD. Just the little 120 GB drive has supercharged my mid-2011 iMac and made my HiRes music listening experience faster, easier and cleaner. Imaging what it will be like if I add the 1TB 840 Evo? It will be like the Mac HD turtle meeting the 840 Evo SSD rabbit for the first time in a race, except slow & steady doesn't win the race in this case.
Summary: Great little SATA to Thunderbolt adapter. One of the cheapest options I've seen out there. I found that buying the adapter, cable and drive separately was cheaper than buying the whole unit sold boxed together. I've ordered a separate one of these and just plugged in a SATA SSD card for REALLY fast speeds. That is the option I"ve found to be most useful, using currently as a cache for my After Effects and Photoshop applications, and it has really sped things up.
Summary: The only cozy thing about the whole deal is that WD thunderbolt 8gb is not too much more expensive than this adapter and 3 tb seagate harddrive. Other than this fact, device works works well except kanex cable, i wouldbuy original apple cable
Summary: I highly recommend this product if you want to punch up overall PC performance. I bought this a few months back and plugged a 1 TB SSD into it. My Mac now boots in about 3 seconds. Video streaming HD is amazing. No hiccups, no stalling as used to happen with my standard internal HD drive. Backups to Time Machine take much less time as well.
A versatile backup solution that allows a second DVI monitor on my Macbook Air 2012

Summary: I bought a Thunderbolt hub for my Macbook Air, which gave me an external monitor and ethernet. But, the way Thunderbolt is designed, any hub itself can only run one monitor (be it Thunderbolt/MiniDisplayPort or HDMI). On the hub manufacturer's suggestion, I added this adapter in the Thunderbolt chain from the hub. Now I can run two DVI 24" monitors on my Macbook Air - one via HDMI from the hub, the other via a MiniDisplayPort adapter from the Seagate Adapter.
Summary: This serves a dual purpose as I have an older Macbook without USB3. I now can access terabytes of data with hi-speed TBolt connection. I can also plug in my displayport from a second monitor for dual monitor display setup on my Macbook Pro. Solid gear at a very reasonable price. BTW, according to many people: if you want to stack a bare drive on this device just cut out a bunch of business cards in a L-shape and place the bare drive on it.
