this was a great price for the time I bought it

Summary: I use this for Time Machine, with two partitions, so I can store files separate from the backups. Built to last, it's fast, quiet and hasn't failed me yet. Only downside for me is the need of a power cord (meaning I can't use it on the go).
Summary: This was a nice backup drive for the money at the original time of purchase. USB-powered drives are the best because you don't need a separate AC power connection. Setup is easy and the drive is easily recognized by newer Microsoft OSes such as Seven or Eight.
Summary: It's a little heavy and it needs to be plugged in to an outlet, but it was the amazon deal of the day when I bought it, and it works well. I constantly write and re-write to it about 1TB a day. It's been about a year since I've had it and have had no issues. Great product so far!

Summary: I gave this to my son for christmas as he wanted an external mass storage device, it arrived quickly & and in good shape. Surprisingly it came with a power addapter as i had read other reviews saying it was usb powered, But this was a plus.
