The GoFlex Storage System ultra–portable drive gives users the flexibility for storage on the go, and features secure automatic backups that allow users to manage backup schedules, encrypt files, and view the drive’s statistics. It comes with Seagate® Dashboard management tool for management of backup schedules, file encryption, and at–a–glance drive statistics, including available capacity. The hard drive is upgradeable from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0, eSATA or FireWire® 800 to enjoy 10x faster transfer speeds for large files and HD movies. The USB 3.0 cable is backward compatible with USB 2.0 interfaces, allowing users to access files from any PC. It comes with a USB 2.0 or 3.0 cable to connect to a PC or Mac® computer, and users have the option to purchase a "drive only" version that comes without the cable.
