It uses a SATA II SSD that can be used as a standard hard drive (connect internally to laptop) or as an external hard drive via USB3.0. The HDD supports mini USB 2.0 interface as well as internal communications through the SATA II.

The PQI S532-E is an external hard disk drive that comes in 40 GB capacity and supports USB3.0 data transfer speeds of up to 250 MB /s read speed and up to 80MB/s write speed. Compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and Mac.10.x operating systems, the PQI S532-E requires a DC +5.0V ± 10% power supply to operate. It measures 128 x 82.5 x 17 mm (5.04 x 3.25 x 0.67 in) and weighs 170 g (0.38 lb). The PQI S532-E operates in temperatures of 0°C ~ +70°C (has a storage temperature of -45°C ~ +85°C) and is full USB 3.0 compatible (backward compatible with USB 2.0). It also supports hot-swapping and plug-and-play, is designed in an aerodynamic design and sandblasted casing in diamond red, and comes with Free Ur Foretress which is a data encryption software and Free Ur-Smart which is a portable software for management of personal documents.
