The OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro is an external drive that supports FireWire 800/400, USB 2.0 and eSATA port. It is compatible with Mac or PC systems and is built with optimized drive mechanism and quiet fanless operation. Designed in a shock resistant portable 2.5 inch aluminum enclosure, the OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro provides users with mobility when they need an A/V, storage device for photos, music, graphics, data and more. The device is available in capacities of 320, 500 and 750 GB for 5200 RPM spin speed, 320 and 500 GB for 7200 RPM, as well as a 256 GB solid state drive option.

Features

The OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro features one eSATA port with up to 300MB/s transfer rates, and two FireWire 800 port, with up to 100MB/s (Solutions include FireWire 800-400 cable for FireWire 400 compatibility up to 40MB/s) transfer rate. The USB 2.0 port provides users with up to 60MB/s transfer rate. The OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro operates at optimum condition in temperatures of up to 0˚C ~ 70˚C (32˚F ~158˚F) (operation)/up to -40°C ~ 85°C (-40°F ~ 185°F) (non-operation). It is fully functional in up to 5% - 90% RH (Non-condensing) relative humidity and has a shock resistance of up to 1500G. Utilizing the Oxford 934DSB chipset, the OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro is powered by an optional AC power adapter (not included). It measures 5.5" x 3.8" x 1.1" (13.8cm x 9.8cm x 2.8cm) and weighs approximately 0.75 pounds (0.34kg). The OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro is covered by a three year warranty and comes with the following software: Intech® SpeedTools Utilities™ OEM (For Mac OS 8.6 - X only), Prosoft Engineering® Data Backup for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, NovaStor NovaBACKUP® for Windows® 2000 or later, Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) from Bombich Software and over 2GB of Freeware, Shareware, Public domain software installed. The device requires an OS 8.6 and later (for Mac) with an available and supported USB, FireWire 800, FireWire 400, or eSATA port; or Windows 98SE and later with an available and supported USB, FireWire 800, FireWire 400, or eSATA port for a PC system.
