The LaCie Starck Desktop Hard Drive is a collaboration between LaCie and world-renowned designer Philippe Starck. The unit features a touch-sensitive surface, which responds to a users’ touch and comes with a fully customizable front panel that allows users to open the application of their choosing, depending on whether a short tap or a long touch is used. Designed in aluminum casing, the LaCie Starck is built with resistant capabilities that keep it from shock and overheating. It also features a status LED in the form of Starck’s signature symbol. The symbol glows orange or green to indicate different activity. The LaCie Starck Mobile Hard Drive offers a built-in USB cable, which can be placed for convenient storing and data accessibility. The LaCie Starck Hard Drives come standard with the following software bundles: the LaCie Backup Assistant and LaCie Desktop Manager that helps users format, back up and customize their hard drive.
