Summary: I've had about 4 or 5 hard drives in my lifetime. This one has stood the test of time. It is exactly what it says it is. A rugged little trooper. This thing travels with me daily in and out of the office. I throw it in my purse and go. Never had one problem with it and I've had it almost a year.
Summary: After almost 3 years of rugged use and abuse the Lacie did give me a small problem some time back. It didn't allow me to drop files into the drive. I transferred all the files that were in the drive re-formatted the drive and it's back to new. The cover does help.
Summary: Bought this drive to keep backups and have something portable to catty around. Haven't had issues yet. I try not to get to rough with it, so I am not sure how rugged it really is. It does have a spinning platter drive in it regardless. No complaints.
Summary: I purchased this hard drive to store my movies. After getting knocked about a bit while toting it around for a few years, I eventually bumped the mini-usb cable too hard while it was connected to the port on the rear of the drive and the port broke off its mounts.
