The LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk is a FireWire 800, FireWire 400 & Hi-Speed USB 2.0 external hard disk created and manufactured by LaCie. It is 90.0 mm x 25.0 mm x 145.0 mm (W x H x D) in dimension and weighs approximately 250 grams.

Features

The LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk has one FireWire 800 (9-pin) port, one FireWire 400 (6-pin) port and one mini USB 2.0 port. It has a rotational speed of 5400 rpm and has an 8 MB or greater cache. Besides that, the LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk has an interface transfer rate of up to 800Mbits/s (100MB/s) for the FireWire 800, up to 400Mbits/s (50MB/s) for the FireWire 400 and up to 480Mbits/s (60MB/s) for the Hi-Speed USB 2.0. It also has a maximum sustained transfer rate of up to 40-50MB/s for the FireWire 800, 30-40MB/s for the FireWire 400 and 2.0: 30MB/s for the Ho-Speed USB 2.0. In addition to that, the LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk has an average seek time of less than 12ms. The LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk has a maximum drop height of 35 in. or 90 cm in non-operating mode (dropping is not recommended in operating mode). Apart from that, the LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk comes with a LaCie ’1-Click‘ Backup Software (Windows / Mac OS 10.2 or greater), Silverkeeper for automatic backup and file verification with Mac OS 9 & Mac OS X and a Driver-free for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista and Mac OS X; Silverlining, Windows Me, and Mac OS 9. It is compatible with Windows© Vista and Mac OS© X 10.5 Leopard (including Time Machine). The LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk requires a Mac OS 10.x, Mac OS 9.x, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Me to function. It also requires a minimum of 128MB of RAM.
