Summary: I needed it to reinstall an internal hard drive. Not knowing much about computers I guess it worked ok. The technician was pleased with it. I'm changing my review on this product! I've had it for six months and it quit.
Summary: The mini USB jack will quickly become loose and unreliable, forcing you to distort the USB plugs you use, in order to make them seat tightly. I'm not sure what the best solution to this would have been, since this device is truly too small to house a regular USB "B" connector.
Pros: Small size, bus-powered
Cons: Frail mini-USB jack, failed soon after 2-year warranty ran out
Summary: Received the 1 TB version 2 days ago and really like how solid built it is. Just don't like the fact that wheen logged in windows it does not recognize the drive. I don't get any options or anything at all.
Summary: When pulling the Rikiki out of my bag, many friends have commented on how nice the hard drive looks with its sleek brushed aluminum. As other reviewers complained, the barely flexible, flat cable is too short.
Summary: I bought this product a couple years ago while I was living in London while working on my master's degree. (I threw in the bit about London because let's just say it has something to do with how I perceive the value of this product for the money it cost. It was expensive.
Summary: This drive is perfect for a person with a laptop that needs (as in my case) lots of space for their music and photo files. I like the fact that in addition to having a tiny footprint, it is powered by a USB port. It is fast and quiet. The only drawback in the tiny USB cable supplied. Too small!
Summary: After I did a great deal of searching for a hard drive that could be used between a Mac and a PC, I decided this was the one even though it had gotton not so great reviews. People warned me about the edges being sharp which they are, and the fact that the USB cord was too short which it was.
