Summary: Great drive. The speeds are very good with USB 3. It doesn't need a power supply, as it draws power directly from the laptop's USB port. The automatic eco mode is a very handy feature, as it lowers the power consumption significantly when the drive is not in use, thus increasing the battery life of the laptop. Other than that the drive is very quiet and works great.
Summary: I would recommend this drive to anyone who needs a good portable drive. It's quiet, doesn't overheat and the design is very attractive. The USB 3.0 speed is brilliant, and the backup software it comes with is easy to install and use. It comes with a few gigabytes of free Cloud storage, too - very convenient.
Summary: One of my friends had an external drive stolen, but what she was really messed up about was someone going through her files! That's when I started using the Private-Public software that came with my Porsche drive. I was thrilled it was so easy to set up! Now, whatever happens to my drive, at least my files won't go public.
Summary: My favorite things about this drive are the quiet and fast operation and the design. The metal casing is very strong. I also like the 10GB online storage that comes with the drive - it's very convenient when travelling or if I need to share files with my friends.
Summary: This Porsche is an excellent drive, I'm really pleased with it. I've been using it for a couple of months, and it's been working well. It comes with all the necessary cables and software. I've been using it for backups and for storing my music library.
Summary: I have plenty of files that needed to be backed up. This drive seemed nice, and so far it's been doing a good job. I can quickly copy data to it thanks to USB 3.0 and because it's light and durable I can easily take it with me when I travel.
Summary: My home router has a USB port that allows to create a shared network drive. I bought one of these drives and plugged it in, and it showed up as a network drive via Wi-Fi. Now my family can share files on the network and use it directly with computers when they need it.
Summary: I've had difficulty finding a portable drive that looks good, has built-in encryption and is solid enough for frequent travel. Thankfully I found this Porsche drive that perfectly fit the bill. It backs up data from my system seamlessly, it's solid and looks very nice. Brilliant!
Summary: The brushed aluminum finish of this drive is really nice. I love that it doesn't attract fingerprint marks easily. Besides it helps drive heat away from the hard drive, which in the long run should extend its life. Bottom line - this is a quiet, functional and practical device.
Summary: I bought this drive mostly because of its design. It is very well made, and seems to be very durable. It's easy to transport, since there is no power supply to carry around. I use it for backups when I travel and it works brilliantly. It's also very easy to configure and to use.
