Excerpt: I HAD THIS HARD DRIVE FOR 2 WEEKS. I USE THIS HARD DRIVE FOR BACK UP ALL MY MUSIC, PHOTO, AND VIDEO. THIS UNIT IS SOLID AND GOOD TRANSFER SPEED. THIS DRIVE ALSO ALLOW YOU TO ENCRYPT A PASSWORD FOR PROTECTION.
Everything you'd expect, with a couple of minor quarrels.

Summary: Cool design, small, quiet, quick. What else do you want? Well, I question the position of the USB3 cable input. It's located on the narrow long side of the case, which makes little sense, especially if you already have several drives and want to stack them. The cable itself is rather on the stiff side, and for some reason the plug that goes into the computer always seems to be facing in the wrong direction. A softer, and/or longer cable would help avoid that problem.
Summary: and had to set it up for them as their new laptop's back up drive and it worked perfectly... I especially enjoyed the partitioning option. When I need a new drive for myself, this is the one I'll be buying!
Summary: I bought this to back up my Mac, not realizing that is does not have a buiilt in fan to cool the unit, which means I can not leave it on all the time for the auto backups. This works for me as I really don't use my Mac very often and only need to back up once a month or so. This hard drive gets VERY, VERY scary hot when left on for an extended period of time. I just plug it in when I need to do a back up, and unplug when I am done, which works just fine for me.
Excerpt: I use the Porsche with my MacBook Pro (retina) for video editing. So far so good. It is much faster than the USB 2.0 drive it is replacing. This external drive looks real good, and it feels solid. I also found the setup software to be helpful, although I didn't use any of the bundled software. The only problem I had was when I was trying to plug in the USB cable into the hard drive, I pressed too hard and actually pushed the whole hard drive out of the encasing.
Pros: Easy To Install, Fast, Highly Compatible, Quiet
