Really noisy

Frank Hummel, rakuten
18 February 2012
  • Summary: Hard drive itself is fine. As long as you don't need to work near it. It emits an extremely annoying high pitched noise.

User Review

Melvin S., Newegg
9 February 2012
  • Summary: I can only hope the hardware works better than the software and their Tech Support. Their Setup Assistant on the drive refused to run, even after using Windows 7's compatibility troubleshooter. I gave up finally and went ahead with formatting the drive manually.
  • Pros: Looks nice.
  • Cons: Software doesn't work, neither does Tech Support.

slowest drive I have

Christopher Overstreet, MacMall
4 November 2010
  • Conclusion: Looks nice and so far so good as far as functionality. A bummer that it has to have a power supply and only has USB 2.0, but I knew that. What I am disappointed by is the speed. I am running it with apple products, maybe that is the problem, but I don't think so.

Advertising gimmick, horrible customer support, but nice hard drive

B. Poulin, Amazon
28 April 2010
  • Summary: I bought this on 12/31 and the box said Win 7 compatible and that I'd get 500 GB of online backup space as well-- both are lies. The software does NOT work with Windows 7, so you can only open up the drive and manually add/create files there. Huge waste of time.

Can't Take A Good Hit.

C. Pietz, Amazon
19 January 2009
  • Summary: This Hard Drive is poorly designed, since the cords they give you are so short any type of tension applied to the cord connected will cause the drive to crash to the ground and stop working. In my case, my cat brushed up against the cord and knocked the drive off of the desk and now it is worthless.
