DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE MAC OS X LION

Sadie Schnauzer "Sadie", Amazon
25 July 2011
  • Summary: I am an avid supporter of LaCie drives; I have purchased more than 15 in the last 11 years. Only one drive has died with my data on it, and I was partly to blame. The problem with this model (model 301304U ) is its software- IT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY MAC OS X LION.

Works with Dish Network VIP 722 DVR

Jean1960 "Jean", Amazon
4 February 2011
  • Summary: It's so nice when something is easy to set up, easy to use and just works without a hassle. I wanted to get an external hard drive so I could archive some of my recorded shows/movies and free up some room on my dish detwork VIP722 DVR receiver.

Great Product!

D.Gatz, Amazon
1 February 2011
  • Summary: I love this hard disk. The huge space aside, its very quiet and VERY fast. I definitely recommend!! If you don't have to carry the thing around (its kinda bulky) you'll be pleased with it. I was however caught off guard by the presence of a power cord; it makes sense though because of its size.

Beauty and brains.

Mitch L., Amazon
19 January 2011
  • Summary: Who says you can't have both beauty and brains? This Lacie hard drive looks sleek on my computer desk and holds more information than I certainly can. I loved this hard drive so much I purchased a 2TB one about one year after my first.

Beautiful and Functional

Lilly Langtry, Amazon
1 October 2009
  • Summary: I'm not a computer expert, although I'm a 20-something...which means I know more about computers than the overwhelming majority of people older than myself. That said, I asked my friend who IS a computer expert to recommend an external hard drive...and he recommended Lacie.

LaCie Hard Disk 750 GB USB 2.0

Tammie M. True "True", Amazon
5 June 2009
  • Summary: Waited awhile to do the review. We've had the drive a few months now. I read a lot of horror stories about drives not working from the start. The Lacie 750 GB has been excellent. Have backed up to a few times now, really like it. I like the off and on switch in the back.

  • Summary: Bought this to back up my system and free up some space on my hard drive. worked right out of the box and did what it was suppose to do - truly plug and play. PRO: amazing price for the storage allowed. beautiful design that is low in profile, yet sophisticated and sleek. CON: short USB cable.

Great Customer Service

D. Yadlosky, Amazon
24 November 2008
  • Summary: I bought one of these about 9mo ago. Worked great and was happy with it. About 3 months ago I was in a flood (3ft of water throughout the house). When we realized what was happening I quickly unplugged the hard drive (which I used for back ups) and my husband and I got out.

LaCie 1 TB External Hard Drive

Kevin VanCleve, Amazon
24 November 2008
  • Summary: This drive was quick and simple to setup. I don't use the software supplied because I have another program and I don't want the complete drive. I size is perfect for my firebox. After a quick drive sink back to the firebox it goes. I will buy another when needed.

Beautiful & solid design

g-star, Amazon
10 October 2008
  • Summary: This was purchased as external backup - it's quiet and lovely. The blue LED reflects off the surface (desktop) so you know when it's in use. Easy to use backup software included, but not robust enough for a power user or tech-geek (use cobian!).
