Summary: I bought this quite awhile ago and while it does what it is suppose to the connection piece on the hard drive itself where the usb cord plugs into is very loose so the cord has to be in just the right position otherwise it will lose its connection with the computer. I wouldn't buy this brand again.

Summary: Barely dropped this, and it no longer works. Dropped from maybe 6"inches. Was sitting down on the ground, it slipped out of my fiancée's hands, and no longer works. Design is very cool, but construction is very cheap considering how small of a drop rendered this thing useless.
Summary: I've had the thing for a month, now. I still don't know how make it work right or, perhaps, better said, it may be working just fine but I can't tell. Two problems... First problem...very, very, scant written instructions. Less than a page.
Great drive / 1 YEAR (Carbonite) Backup DOA on Vista x64

Summary: I purchased the LaCie drive over others because of the 1 YEAR UNLIMITED backup. This drive looks great, runs quiet and was a breeze to install on my 3 year old XP Media Center PC. With the software, drive and service it's a great bundle - in theory...
Summary: This is the last Lacie product I will buy.
Pros: I have the metal-case porsche version of this drive (which has just been replaced by this model). It's compact and has a metal case.
Cons: Broke within six months. Still struggling to get Lacie to send a replacement. They sent out a replacement power supply even though the existing one checks ok with voltmeter and oscilloscope. The dead drive makes horrendous mechanical screeching noise. The Lacie service people are not at all helpful.
