  • Conclusion: The LaCie Fuel wireless media drive can supplement your smartphone or tablet storage. It lets you carry most, if not all, of your music, photos, and videos with you and share them with a small group of devices.
  • Pros: Large-capacity storage. Wi-Fi. Fun design. Uses Seagate Media Sync on PC/Mac or drag-and-drop. Uses Seagate-Media-branded iOS-, Android-, and Kindle-compatible apps. Caches media lists. Internet pass-through.

The LaCie Fuel is Seagate's Wireless Plus after some heavy plastic surgery

3 April 2014
  • Summary: Fast and easy to use, the LaCie Fuel makes another very good choice as a mobile storage solution for travelers despite having almost nothing better than its existing peer.
  • Pros: The LaCie Fuel works well either a fast USB 3.0 portable drive or as a capable mobile Wi-Fi storage device. As the latter, it comes with a well-designed mobile app and offers long battery life.
  • Cons: The LaCie Fuel doesn't have anything its competition doesn't already have, including the Wireless Plus from Seagate, which owns LaCie.

Lacie Fuel

2 April 2014
  • Cons: Precio excesivo

Review: LaCie Fuel Gives You and Your Devices More Data Flexibility

28 February 2014
  • Conclusion: The LaCie Fuel rings in at $199 and comes in just one model, 1TB — it also sports USB 3 and supports 802.11b/g/n.  The small and compact form factor make it ideal for travel and its plastic outer shell just reinforces that–definitely something you can put in your bag and go.  If you are in the market for additional storage that can be easily shared with your growing number of devices, the LaCie Fuel is a great solution.

LaCie’s Fuel Adds a Terabyte of Storage to iPad/iPhone

The Mac Observer
14 February 2013
  • Conclusion: Execution. I rate it as excellent. LaCie could have stopped short and been satisfied, but the users wouldn't be. Instead, the company went all out in flexibility, ease of use and documentation and added special features for the Apple customer: exFAT file system, complementary physical design, and Dropbox support that the Seagate Wireless Plus does not have.
  • Pros: Massive terabyte storage, portable and battery powered with 10 hour life, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi base station with 150 ft range, five simulaneous connections, great integration with iOS using Seagate Media app, reasonable price, multiple ways to access, uses USB 3, Wi-Fi pass through to keep your device on the Internet.
  • Cons: USB cable is too short. PDF manual should be on the drive.  However, no serious cons or issues.

LaCie Fuel

6 July 2014

  • Pros: Built-in eight-hour battery; USB 3.0
  • Cons: None

LaCie Fuel review

Macworld UK
10 February 2014
  • Excerpt: LaCie was taken over by Seagate about a year ago, but the two brands are being kept separate as LaCie is the more well-known name at the 'premium' end of the market (i.e. Mac users who don’t mind paying a bit extra for nicely designed gadgets). Inevitably, though, there will be some overlap between the two brands, and the new LaCie Fuel is essentially LaCie's version of the Seagate Wireless Plus drive that we reviewed a few months ago.
  • Pros: convenient wireless storage for mobile devices, sturdy design
  • Cons: expensive, can’t be used to Time Machine backups

Test du LaCie Fuel, un disque dur Wi-Fi 1 To

5 November 2014
  • Pros: - Concept pertinent, - Design, - Simplicité d'utilisation
  • Cons: - Autonomie décevante, - Application dépassée et limitée, - Pas de vidéo 1080p

Recensione LaCie Fuel, disco wireless fino a 2TB per Mac e dispositivi iOS

29 August 2014
