Summary: As an IT technician, everyday I have to find solutions for my clients and their myriad of systems. Thankfully the d2 Quadra takes a lot of the effort out of this for me. This drive suits differtent platforms and connection types, it’s quick, reliable, easy to configure and so far hasn’t skipped a beat.
Summary: As an at-home web designer I'm always trying to make sure my work files are securely backed up and can be accessed at a moment's notice. With the d2 Quadra, I now know that they are. I can even store my most critical data on the 10 GB of cloud storage (you get it for free with the drive) for added safety and security. Perfect.
Summary: This drive has a good quality all-metal enclosure. It's heavy and quite sturdy. It's also quiet, and has a soft blue light on the front panel. The transfer speeds are good, I use Firewire 800 and a regular backup takes barely half an hour. Good external HDD all around.
Summary: Fast drive with a good choice of connections. I use it for video editing, and haven't had one glitch yet. It's simple to use, quiet, solidly built, and most importantly it serves my purpose perfectly!
Summary: I got this 2 TB drive as an upgrade to my old 320 GB drive, which still works by the way but is running short of space. The new d2 Quadra runs pretty fast. I haven't had any issues with it, I haven't even heard it make a sound. It's very quiet.
Summary: I bought this for backup for my PC. It was a breeze to setup, and has been working seamlessly so far. In terms of operation the drive seems to be very reliable. It's quiet, and fast. The unit comes with all the cables you might need, and a good backup software that works well.
Summary: Over the past few months my company has purchased quite a few of these. The cost for the amount of space you get is great. Don't let that fool you into buying. We have lost 4 of these drives. They couldn't even make it through 6 months of use. One problem that I have found consistent is the drive mounts and you can view your data but when it comes to transferring the data it freezes. Really stinks when you loose your media.
