Summary: I bought two of these (one for backup) and they read on my 2013 Mac Pro at 930 megs per second, according to an AJA benchmark. They are very quiet for non-flash hard drives. I have them on my desk behind my monitors. Very quiet. They wake from sleep very quickly too. I don't have a negative.

Summary: I purchased this and replaced each hdd with an 8 TB so I got it up to 40 TB. I will never fill this anytime soon but it's fun to see how much storage I can get and know that it would take a whole lot of EVERYTHING to fill this.
Excerpt: I have 3 of the drives setup as a RAID 5, and the remaining two setup as a RAID 1. Works exactly as expected, and thunderbolt 2 is incredibly fast. The RAID management software has a bit of learning curve, but once figured out, it's pretty straight forward.
Summary: I own a video production company. My client bought one of these hard drives for me to use for editing their footage. The drive constantly ejected itself from my MacBook Pro. Then after a couple of weeks it stopped mounting and didn't work any longer, so it had to be returned.
Summary: Unfortunately, this product did not appear ready for prime time, or any time. I wanted the speed and protection of a RAID 5 array as well as the reliability of LaCie's products. However, the drive ejected itself several times from my Mac desktop before it would not mount at all.
