Summary: Make more room on your iPad/ iPhone/iPod for Apps by loading media onto an external drive. Great for documents and music/movies you didn't buy from the apple store (so more versatile than iCloud) and stream them without downloading them onto your device through the Internet (quicker and more accessible than Dropbox) and easily host those files for others to see.
Summary: This is a good option for people who need more disk space but doesn't trust iClould or any cloud option. This is a good device to have if you're going to a place that has no good cell signal and/or access to WiFi internet to get to your cloud storage.
Summary: This device is made to help expand the memory of your mobile devices, for example I have a 32gb IPhone and I just went away on holiday where I was not going to have any Internet for a week and I could only store two films on my phone with all my other apps, music, work etc also if I suddenly decided I wanted to watch the film from my iphone on my iPad I could not do that. The Wi drive then starts to make sense as you do not need Internet to use it.
Summary: Simple to set up, ipad plays most of the usual formats of film music and pix from it. Only niggles are that you can't copy to it direct from the ipad, you can't connect ipad to it and web at the same time and realistic battery life is only a couple of hours whist wi-fi ing video fom it to the ipad so you can only watch one film or about 5 episodes of Red Dwarf! Oh and you can't recharge it and use wi-fi at the same time!
Compact wireless storage device for your media device
22 August 2012
Summary: How cool would it be if someone made an external hard drive that was battery operated and could connect to a WiFi network? This Wi-Drive is that very piece of technology. Available in 16gb, 32gb and 64gb (though the 16gb drive is now oos). Initally the drive worked well enough with my iPad, but the initial Android drivers were far too buggy. The latest software release means it is now supported by any device sporting Android 2.2 an up.
Summary: Excellent kit and very easy to use. I downloaded 8 movies, and we saw them during the week-end in my Ipad2. Sometimes we were watching to different movies at the same time, with no lack of quality loss. The only downside is that if I realized how good it was, I would choice the 32GB instead.
Summary: A handy device but I agree with other reviewers that it is a bit troublesome at times. I would only recommend it if you knwo of specific times when you'll need it, otherwise a generic pen drive would be just as good
Summary: Bought a 16gb version of this for some extra memory for my iPod touch 4g which only has 8 GB memory. The size of it is really close to the iPod; 1 cm longer, 2 mm higher and 5 mm wider, so it fits nicely into your pocket. It is very easy to use; first plug it into your pc with the usb - miniusb cable you get with it, then it works as an usb stick; copy and paste.
