Doens't do anyting for me.

ManoaHI, Amazon
4 December 2013
  • Summary: Can't really see the point for this. At the time, I would have preferred a larger capacity, but still, I think more memory cards are a better option. I get the iPad point, but 16 GB is much too small. For use with a computer, it is not worth it. USB thumb drives are better for their portability, camera extra drives are better for cameras.

ganesh, Amazon
28 June 2013
  • Summary: didn't read the description completely before i bought this, i assumed a two way file transfer with this, being a hard drive, but it doesn't allow you to copy contents from your iOS device to the hard drive, it's one way only. Heats up pretty fast. returned it.

Not worth the money

MDG, Amazon
5 March 2013
  • Summary: When I bought this item I got it with the intention to free up space on my iPad. In short it has not lived up to my expectations. It wouldn't sync up right have the time and when it would you couldn't download to it. It's a complete waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

Great for family use

Texas Mommy, Amazon

  • Summary: We have been using this for a year and love it. We have our girls' movies loaded on it and they can watch them when they want. Software is easy to install and use. We need a larger one!

Great device!!!

RLohengrin, Amazon
19 October 2012
  • Summary: OK, I like to take products to the limit and find all they can do. Besides using the unit as it is intended as a wireless storage, it work also as a multimedia router. There's no need to be connected to the Internet to be able to stream hd videos from your computer, phone or any dlna device. Install a dnla server or app on your computer or phone and stream music, movies, and photos to your tv or sony smp200 media player or to your computer with xbmc!!

Disappointing and under-engineered

Douglas Colligan, Amazon
11 September 2012
  • Summary: I'm on my second Wi-Drive. The first one crashed/froze after I went to Kingston's website to update the software on it. Emails with a very polite, very co-operative tech person at Kingston did not help, so I returned for a replacement. That worked fine until - don't ask me why - I decided to update the software on the replacement. Yup. Crash. I sort of got it going again and managed to use it to transfer files to my iPad so I am keeping it. But it is of limited value.

Extend your iPad storage

D. H., Amazon
29 July 2012
  • Summary: Bought a 16gb iPad and one I loaded some of my videos to show clients I realized I should have bought one with more storage capacity. When I saw this item I bought it right away and glad I did. What a great product.

Adding storage space to the iPad

Lawrence Armstrong, Amazon
22 July 2012
  • Summary: As I travel I enjoy watching movies to help pass the time. Since I did not purchase the 64GB iPad I have found a way to extend my storage space. The Kingston Wi-Drive provides 16GB at a reasonable price. As I traveled on the Amtrak train I was easily able to connect my iPad to the Kingston Wi-Drive and watch my movies. There was never any lag while watching the movies, it was as if they were really on the iPad.

Does support Charging while Using

Kenn Crook "KennX", Amazon
1 July 2012
  • Summary: So I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents as there seems to be some debate over this issue. As stated elsewhere as long as you turn on the device and let the blue wifi lights come on PRIOR to plugging it in to the USB charger it will transmit while charging. Just got back from a family vacation and being able to make additional movies available to the iPad was really nice. No glitches or stuttering on playback. Seems like an excellent product!
