Summary: Product worked well for 2 months, then suddenly stopped working. Contacted customer support, who were very helpful, and was told it could possibly be the power source. Fair enough... Got the new power source after 2 days, suprisingly, but that wasn't the problem. Contacted customer support again, and come to find not only do the not offer data back up, but they want me to pay 25 dollars to exhange it, and they are going to send me a "reconditioned" model which is held up...
Summary: Died after minimal usage. Didn't even have it for 2 months and only used it to download movies from my DVR. Warranty support is a joke. They'll talk to you on the phone for $25...........???? My son's died in a very short time as well. STAY AWAY!
Summary: I bought this drive to back up and store photos, etc. After 6 months the drive stopped working and I called their support line. Although the drive is warrantied, they do nothing to repair your drive, rather you have to send yours back and then they will send a new one. All your data is lost unless you hire Iomega or an independent service to ATTEMPT to retrieve your data. If you want to get a replacement drive before they receive yours, you pay.
Summary: My drive died after 6 months. (It just won't power on). So I go to the Iomega website thinking I can get a replacement since I'm within warranty. WRONG Iomega charges $25 to even talk to them, unbelievable! The worst support imaginable. How can you charge $25 for a phone call when the product is suppose to be within warranty. NEVER BUYING IOMEGA AGAIN. EVER. Spend your money elsewhere.
Summary: I bought this hard drive to store all my photos, I need to reformatted twice to make is work, after 9 hours of my time, I couldn't view any of my photos from the hard drive so I reformatted again only can see half of the photos and the other half are totally blank, my husband try to view it from his computer still not working, end up I need to return it to the store. I won't recommend this product to any one at all!
