Summary: It worked well for three days. The drive was recognized and formatted by the cable box DVR. After three days I could not access anything recorded. I could not reset the cable box with the external drive attached. I had to return the unit.
Summary: I've had this product for around 2-3 years and maybe I expect to much from it. Half of the time I have to wait 30 minutes or an hour before I can even remove media, a single picture or anything from it. The drive crashes when I try writing information to it unless I wait.
Summary: I purchased this ExHD (1TB) soley for the use of the eSATA connection to my computer. I have a factory installed eSATA port on my computer and this HD is not recognized. I tried everything the troubleshooting offered in forwards and in reverse... nothing worked.
Summary: I only use this 1TB external HD to back up my data. Just after several months, I am now annoyed at the unexpected disconnections when I'm trying to transfer simple 300mb or a 1gig folders on or off the drive.
Summary: When you attach this drive to a computer it automatically loads a virtual CD titled Iomega. On that CD is an old version of the Iomega Encryption Utility. This virtual CD is as much a benefit to this hard drive as a nail is to a car tire.

Summary: Hi bought this with built in encryption which starts giving you issues after a while, all of sudden drive will not pick up by Windows or any other OS and cant be accessed. two replacement later and same issue with everyone.
