Good drive with bad cable= bad drive?

Gabriel Caron, Amazon
2 December 2014
  • Summary: The drive itself works well. Untill the cheaply made cable bends and cost you quite a bit of money to fix.

Loose Connection

E. Fisher "snowman-25", Amazon
9 June 2014
  • Summary: The cord has a loose connection like other reviews said. I took a gamble, and this time it was the wrong move. I use this to back up my laptop. Any little movement will disconnect the drive and cause the back up to fail.

  • Summary: It is fast and reliable. I carry it in my work tote bag to back up my work data every night and it has held up to a lot of abuse.

Unreliable, stopped working within 2 months

J. W. Green, Amazon
2 March 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this in December, 2013. It was quirky from the beginning, sometimes not being recognized by one of my computers. It stopped working altogether by March 2, 2014. It was not heavily used and always well protected. I own other Iomega portable drives that have not had any problem.

MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER YOUR DRIVE WITHIN 90 DAYS

NC KB, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: There was nothing in my son's package that stated that one must register their drive within ninety days. He is having trouble with the drive and its interface with his MacPro. Unfortunately one may not speak with folks at iOmega if their drive was not registered within ninety days of purchase...

Cover melts off, gets messed up if plugged into a PC

Jacqueline Boss, Amazon
11 December 2013
  • Summary: Well it's pretty and functional for the most part. Unfortunately the glue melts every time I use the hard drive so that the blue cover falls off, so I have to keep a hair tie around it to keep it in place. It dries shut again when it cools. That isn't such a big deal, but a weird defect.
