  • Summary: I had this for about 2 yrs or so. I never dropped it to see if it stands up to a beating but I wouldnt want to try. It is still made by man. However, It is a great hard drive. Small size to fit in my bag. Great case. I would recommend it to anyone.

Iomega eGo

John W, Amazon
25 January 2013
  • Summary: I've been using this as a "file name to file name" backup for over a year. Works great. I am able to retrieve files just as if they were on an external drive. I am not using the built-in backup software.

Nice Casing

Tom C. Chen "tom in califonia", Amazon
15 February 2011
  • Summary: Received this product in a nice box. Still looks like it would break if you drop it. Has a rubber housing around it. Instantly connected to my netbook and created a back up. Not a fan of the 2 usb port requirement that Iomega still chooses to use. I prefer the single usb.

Problems since the first use

Michael Piccarreta, Amazon
26 January 2011
  • Summary: Positive: The device is extremely portable and designed to provide protection against drops. In addition, this version of the hard drive doesn't come with annoying software that you need to run to use it. Negative: While the design of the unit is good, it is not reliable for long data transfers.

3 December 2010
  • Summary: This hard drive has worked well so far. I purchased it to use as a Time Machine backup for my MacBook Pro, as I wasn't backing up my data enough with my desktop hard drive that I keep at home.
