"USB 3 eGo 1T Drive partition CANNOT be reformatted: Mac"

arok1111, CNET
30 August 2011
  • Pros: 1 T space. Nice styling. Rubber band floor bouncer might work, I guess.
  • Cons: USB 3.O eGo 1T Drive is (currently) compatible with OSX 10.4-10.6 only. Also, currently no means to reformat "built in" PC partition for encryption software. Will load the partition as a (CD) drive everytime connected. Irritating. Should be friendlier fo

Mine Failed in less than 30 days

RMMc "rmmc", Amazon
20 June 2010
  • Summary: I read the reviews and took my chances because I have 3 other DESKTOP Iomega Hard Drives that have performed for me for over a year each. I trusted Iomega. It is small beautiful lightweight and portable - all the things I was looking for in a PORTABLE external hard drive. I bought this item a month ago and it has already failed me. I had first loaded it with my music and pictures - maybe 150 Gig was used, and it seemed to perform just fine.

Iomega Rocks!

Bad Dude, Amazon
15 October 2009
  • Summary: After using Simpletech and Western Digital drives of this type, there is absolutely no comparison in the quality of workmanship between the Iomega brand and the others. The case is solid metal and constructed with close fitting seams that make this a well designed and manufactured piece. I travel frequently and carry this device in my carry--on bag with my laptop and have not had any issues with seam separation or other visible defects.

A great product

Elle, Amazon
27 September 2009
  • Summary: I purchased this portable hard drive to go with my Toshiba Laptop. Firstly, I love the size. It can comfortably fit in my laptop bag with no pressure. It is small, flat and easy on the eyes. I also like the rubber glove-like band over it to prevent slippage because of its glossy finish all around. I was surprised that the size of it can hold 500GB but it surely can and you are able to see its capacity on the computer.

Amazing Product

Benjamin J. Swanson, Amazon
11 September 2009
  • Summary: This thing is freaking sweet. 500gb is more than what's on my hard drive so I can transport anything I want easy. It transfers fast enough that I don't even notice. I even installed some games on it and play them off of it. I can't even tell it's coming from there. Makes a very soft humming sound that almost anything will drown out. I dropped it accidentally a few times and it still works beautifully.
