Very easy to install and use

Neil M, Amazon
4 July 2013
  • Summary: Left my laptop pc at Security in Schiphol recently. Got it back, but realised need to back up hard drive to avoid the mega-stress of nearly losing everything I need for work! This HP product was recommended to me by colleagues. It's very easy to install and use - plug it in and click through a few simple instructions, and it backs up the pc every time it idles for 5 minutes.

Plug and Play

Lesley-Ann, Amazon
8 May 2012
  • Summary: I love these types of drives, just plug them in and you're good to go before you realise it. I bought this for one purpose, to back-up our laptop, as I have taken so long to get around to doing this it took a while, no fault of the drive at all. Just me dithering. It works, and gets recognised, on both our laptop which runs Windows 7 and my desktop running Vista. Not much else to say, it does what it's supposed to do.

Not bad

Alvin, Amazon
5 January 2011
  • Summary: At first sight one can not fail to be amazed by the size of the device. A little thicker and a little larger than an iphone, but holds 500 Gb. The external drives with the most favorable reviews on Amazon - and cheaper too - are "no name" UK made drives sold by CBA Digital. I chose the HP unit instead, because while also USB driven can backup incrementally which the CBA units can't (at least according to some reviews on Amazon). Startup didn't go exactly to plan.
