Summary: I've had this external drive for 3years now and I must say it has been working great this whole time. It is kind of big to be carrying around which sucks because sometimes I need information I have stored on it while I'm on road. Also, It can be loud at times when I am copying files over.

Summary: This review is based on the XL2000 used on a Windows XP SP3. I have had the XL2000 for about 2 weeks with no HD or enclosure problems. I have completed a 3 day continuous backup, the unit got slightly warm but only what I would expect.
Summary: I have only had the drive one day. So I obviously can't say anything about reliability. Which is a loaded topic when it comes to hard drives. Drives works. Comes as FAT32 to work with MAC and PC out of the box. I use Windows 7, so I formatted it as NTFS.
