Useful and simple to use!

Summary: I purchased this after a long search for a reasonably priced and reliable and not-too-huge external hard drive. I use it to back of media (primarily photographs) and to store documents. I am pleased to finally have all of the digital photographs stored on both my Mac and personal computers all in one place! It's a little loud while running, and I'm not crazy about the "running lights" underneath-but so far, and for the money, it does exactly what I hope for.
Pros: Attractive, Easy To Install, Fast, Highly Compatible, Lightweight, Portable
Summary: I use this for Time Machine Backups on my OS X computer. The only good thing was the price I paid for this at the time. I bought this drive over others because of its many year warranty. However, the drive died a few months later. I have received two REFURBISHED replacements from the factory now. Both of them where 'Dead on Arrival'. I have had very poor experience with both this drive, the attempted replacement of this drive under its warranty.
Hitachi SimpleDRIVE Mini 500 GB: Reliable external hardrive.

Summary: I bought this external hardrive from my local Tesco store when I noticed it for what seemed a small price. It cost me £33.99 and I believe this is a very good price for a 500GB External Hardrive. The hardrive itself is a nice, thin, slim, curved rectangle shape. It is looks very simple, but then it is simple. It has a blue LED on the bottom which shows when it is plugged into a computer or device. It has a small port on the end of it so the USB cable can be plugged in.
