GMM "GMM", Amazon
24 November 2013
  • Summary: This stopped working for me after a few months which is dangerous given its function. There are better products out there.

Forget it if you have problems, do not buy this one!

jbs, Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: I had this unit for 2 years, it was suppose to work on both a PC and a MAC, but needed a driver downloaded to have it work on the MAC also. It performed poorly on the MAC, the tech support had me format it only for the MAC and it worked once or twice. Then I started having drive write errors, contacted customer support and did all of the troubleshooting they suggested. I probably reformatted the drive 6 + times with no luck.

NEVER AGAIN!

SeattleSounder, Amazon
21 January 2013
  • Summary: I will NEVER purchase a ClickFree product again. This product worked great to start with, but I now try to get the data off of the disk and I can't get a single computer to recognize the drive. What good is a backup product if you can't get the data off of it when you need it. Great idea, but not implemented with reliability.

Awful Product ,Bricked My PC, Customer Service a Joke

G Bots, Amazon
8 October 2012
  • Summary: Tried for about 6 hours to get this drive to work. I then spent another 2 with customer service who kept on asking me to do various things to my computers. It never worked and they ended up bricking my PC. After this, they told me it was my machine that was bad even though their product would work on none of my 3 computers and I can no longer use my PC that had functioned perfectly up till that point.

If only it worked... Or customer service was good.

J. Knudsen "jennysings", Amazon
5 May 2012
  • Summary: I had high hopes for this product - it's recommended by consumer reports. The main reason for my 1 star rating is that both the company that sold it to me AND the company that makes it have not helped me fix the many issues I've had trying to set up this clickfree device. It's been a week and all I've gotten is a runaround. I'm hoping they will come through and I can change my rating. But this was certainly not the easy set-up they claimed.

Dreadful.

M. Nolan, Amazon
21 April 2012
  • Summary: This is the worst thing I've brought for my computer. Worked once; right off the bat! But after a quick reboot (I use windows 7), the device refused to connect correctly to my computer. Talked with tech service and after 2 months of waiting received replacement parts for the wrong device (and they some how got my address all wrong?)! Dreadful! They hadn't a clue what was wrong with it and couldn't help me in the end.

If they only gave Oscars for Crap

E. John Vodonick, Amazon
20 April 2012
  • Summary: I bought a C2N to back up my home system. I am no stranger to installing routers, backup systems or building computers. This equipment does nothing but look shiny and have some nice blue ground effects. If that is what you want--then go ahead and buy. If what you want is something that actually works and backs your system up after you spend a day or so of your time and a half an hour or so on hold to tech support then run--run like the wind. This is junk.

Not a connect once and backup solution.....

adam6979 "adam6979", Amazon
25 March 2012
  • Summary: The description gives me the impression that I simply connect this once to the laptops I want to backup and then ClickFree handles it from there. That simply is not true. This device has to be connected to a host computer in order to work. What I wanted and what the description implied to me what a device that would operate wireless on it's own. I have two laptops - I don't want to tie up one laptop all the time at the desk. I am sending it back.

jbjax, Walmart

  • Summary: The item arrived on time and in good shape as far as packaging. My problem was not with Wal-Mart. The item did power up but did absolutely nothing else. It would not be recognized on three different computers.
