Summary: Two stars because of complete lack of serviceability.
Pros: Seems to be functioning, the Thunderbolt portion, haven't tested USB
Cons: The enclosure is completely unserviceable. Think you'll replace that 1 TB drive with a nice SSD? Think again. They *glued* the two pieces of enclosure together and then used a bunch of clips inside to secure the circuit board to the top part of the enclosure. Servicing this thing makes opening an...
Summary: I am already looking for a new hard drive with two thunderbolt ports. Thunderbolt devices must have two ports on them in order to daisy chain the device and have another thunderbolt device attached at the same time.
Summary: Disclaimer: I am reviewing a unit I received for free, through the Vine program. Well I'm not sure how useful this actually is. For me, not so much. For you, maybe, depending on your needs. As an external hard drive it's pretty expensive for only 1 TB.
Summary: Purchased this drive Aug 2013, used it to backup my MacBook Pro with time machine. I'd use it to back about a 2 or 3 times a month. Just failed, very disappointed. It was working fine last week. Plugged it in a week later, blue light came on and nothing, not showing up on the desktop.

Summary: I have BUFFALO MiniStation 1 TB Thunderbolt / USB 3.0 Only two-star rating Because the price is too high And also I have a WD USB3 The price difference is very large, but the difference in speed is simple and small So, better to buy Hard USB3 Speed Hard BUFFALO, WD USB3, with Mac retina 15
Summary: At first I loved this hard drive. I got it on sale, it was sleek and uber portable with 1 TB of storage. I'm a photographer and store tons of photos so this drive was a back up to the original back up. About a month ago it started beeping and not showing up on my computer.
Summary: I got the 1TB and it made weird sounds when i first plugged it in and only partially recognized. I retried and it seemed to work, but it makes loud tapping sound and transfers choppy and has froze while transferring.
Summary: This is a fast drive- in all respects. In my opinion, it is worth spending the extra $ on the Thunderbolt connection for Mac users. Unfortunately, it is now about 8-9 months after using it approx once per week on average and it gets too hot.
